K12 Navigator – Expanding with unique partnership

CMMA is pleased to announce we have partnered with Otter Tail County to expand the K12Navigator to include additional industries and a footprint that will expand at least to the outer reaches of Otter Tail County.

Otter Tail County was awarded a Youth Skills Training grant from Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to fund the project expansion. Amy Johnson, CMMA member and owner of Cardinal Consulting Solutions is overseeing the County’s Youth Workforce Navigation Program, which is the foundation of the Youth Skills Training program. “The program will build the future workforce of Otter Tail County and bridge relationships between schools and businesses.”, said Johnson. “We needed a tech tool to create sustainability for this project and were impressed with the simplicity of functionality that makes the K12Navigator such a powerful tool. We also knew the CMMA spirit of collaboration would make them the ideal partner.”

According to Johnson the expansion plans for the K12 Navigator will include holding education sessions in Otter Tail County to discuss the importance of engaging with today’s youth and offering guidance for additional businesses to register on the site.

The expanded site will also include the ability to search based on the Minnesota Department of Education’s career wheel. Manufacturers: Get a head start and discover which career experiences you are able to offer students within the career wheel.

Manufacturers: Register your company here

The expanded site will be live by early September. Stay tuned!
