Session 2
FairChanceEmployer.com exists to help organizations navigate the complicated world of considering an ex-offender for employment. This is difficult because most organizations do not understand the EEOC guidelines, how to do document that these guidelines have been followed and how best to protect the organization from a negligent hire lawsuit. Up until now, no HR entity has been able to deliver a blueprint, or process, to satisfy all of these concerns. After over a year of research they have created a website that addresses all of these issues as well as offering several related time saving tools for the organization. His presentation will cover topics such as:
- What are the Ground Rules for a Fair Chance Process?
- How to document compliance with the 4 EEOC “Green Rules”
- How to navigate the “Severity of the Crime” requirement
- What about Negligent Hire Concerns?
- How to discover if there are Federal or State hiring limitations for my industry
- State and Federal incentives to hiring this population
- How FairChanceEmployer.com provides a low cost, easy to use process to better evaluate these candidates while providing all the documentation needed to protect the organization.
