Saint John’s Abbey Woodworking
For over 150 years, Saint John's Abbey Woodworking has crafted furniture in much the same way. Utilizing wood from our own forest and traditional woodworking techniques, generations of monks and local craftsmen have designed and created custom furniture that is distinct and made to last. Today our shop seeks to honor this legacy by giving witness to the value of manual labor, stewardship and the perpetuation of craft in the 21st century.
Saint John’s Abbey Organ Builders:
Saint John's Abbey Organ Builders specializes in building and restoring fine mechanical action organs. Located at Saint John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN, our shop carries forward a centuries-old tradition of Benedictine organ building.
Master organ builder Martin Pasi serves as artistic director and oversees all phases of organ building from design and construction to installation and voicing. All instrument components are built in our shop by a team of lay and monastic craftsmen, an effort of daily work and prayer.
