Golf Social 2021 Recap

The CMMA Golf Social once again raised significant funds in support of scholarships and youth manufacturing programs. Held at Wapicada Golf Club in St. Cloud on June 8, the ninth annual event netted a record $16,000 in profits! As the association’s only fundraiser each year, proceeds are earmarked to support the CMMA Foundation. The Foundation distributes scholarships and grants that support youth manufacturing programs in the region.

Since its inception in 2008, CMMA has provided over $125,000 in support of workforce development and career awareness!

More than 100 golfers and volunteers enjoyed an afternoon of networking in the great outdoors, with the weather perhaps a bit on the warm side. Adding to the fun were sponsor events on nearly every hole, including a Hawaiian luau themed booth hosted by Commercial Realty Solutions.

First place prize money was awarded to a team of golfers from Advantage One Insurance:  Brian Jarl, Tom Perterka, Justin Berg and Gerard Hansen (not pictured).  They scored a 54; 18 under par!

Proximity prizes were awarded to:
Longest Drive Men............Justin Berg, Advantage One Insurance
Longest Drive Women............Maria Hochstatter, LB Carlson
Longest Putt......................Steve Prom, Alpine Cabinetry
Congratulations to one and all!

CMMA gratefully acknowledges those who volunteered on the Golf Social Planning Committee: Clint Nelson, Chair (
Qualified Plan Advisors), Steve Leen (BerganKDV), Jason Iverson (Falcon National Bank), Tim Elness (W. Gohman Construction), Jared Powell (Woodcraft Industries), and Nathan Brown (American Door Works).
