Della Ludwig, Workforce Strategy Consultant, for Central Minnesota
 
Where do you work, what do you do? I work at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). I cover 13 counties in central Minnesota by supporting businesses and their communities in developing innovative workforce solutions by aligning resources, facilitating collaboration, and leveraging expertise in targeted industries such as manufacturing. 
 
What was your first job? I grew up on the family dairy farm near Paynesville, so I was helping my dad in the barn by 2nd grade. My first job after I graduated high school was as a dietary assistant at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring.
 
Hometown? We currently live in Albany.
 
Family? My boyfriend, Royce, works at Starrett Tru-Stone in Waite Park. His daughter, Angel, lives with us and is in 8th grade at Albany Junior High. My son, Marcus, is at Moorhead State University, working on his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with an Emphasis in Student Affairs and Higher Education. We have two cats, Obi & Yoda. 
 
Do you have any hobbies, play any sports or favorite games? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and am a certified scuba diver. I also like to downhill ski, especially in Montana and Colorado. 
 
Comment on your involvement with CMMA: I have been involved with CMMA for over four years and been on the membership committee the past two years. I also co-chaired the Explore Potential Interests and Careers (EPIC) event with Les Engel and CMMA the past two years.  
 
What would CMMA members be surprised to learn about you? I am the 10th out of 12 children and became an auntie when I was three!
