Dan is the President of Falls Fabricating, LLC.

Hometown: Cold Spring

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University and multiple years of hands-on experience and training with great leaders/mentors. The most memorable and impactful training I took was a Leadership Cohort with the Prouty Project focusing on self, others, and business.

First job: My very first job was washing dishes at the Blue Heron in Cold Spring. My first job out of college was working in accounting at Fingerhut.

Family: I have been married to my wife Julie for 31 years, with two adult children, four grandsons

Pets: We have one dog, Molly, a spoiled beagle terrier mix; two garage cats Tito and Ginny; along with a bunch of chickens.

Favorite book or author:  I have read a lot of really good books and authors over the years but my favorite book is “The Goal,” it really helped me with my transition from finance to understanding manufacturing and working in production leadership. The other book that has been very helpful in my career has been “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown. It has been really helpful with understanding the importance of managing time and committing yourself to more than you should or can do successfully.

Favorite movie: Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick

Favorite food: Sour Cream Raisin Bars

Hobbies:  Deer Hunting (archer and gun), working outside in the yard, and watching high school football and NFL (Vikings)

Comments on involvement with CMMA:  Joining and attending the CMMA has been a great way to meet other manufacturers and other industry professionals who support manufacturing companies. CMMA has been a great supporter of manufacturing, and it only makes sense that my company is a member of an organization and supports its objectives to grow peoples understanding of manufacturing.
