Spring, a time for new growth and that’s just what’s been happening with your CMMA!

We’ve had a great run of meetings, speakers and tours of late with much knowledge, connectivity and opportunity being shared and created. CMMA certainly appreciates our meeting sponsors and the subject matter experts who speak to our assembly at the crack of dawn when the day is fresh for the taking!

Have you checked out the CMMA Impact Report yet? This publication, created by MMA, celebrates our collaboration with our MMA partner organizations and how we are better together.  It’s also a strong testament to the work, reward and impact that CMMA consistently delivers.  A read of the piece, entitled “CMMA: A Legacy of Leadership and a Future of Growth”, will inform and inspire you and validate your place and purpose within CMMA. An additional new development at CMMA includes a recently launched Education Council. The focus of this group is to further integrate and align our relations with our education community partners to achieve shared vision and goals in awareness and workforce preparation. CMMA deeply appreciates the commitment that our all our service group members make to our mission; it truly takes a village!

CMMA also recently completed a very successful Spring CTE Jamboree. This session was an expansion of our annual Fall event that focuses on bringing our technical education partners to the table to learn more about and better support our industry. The event was well organized, well executed, well attended and delivered results beyond expectations. Nice work all!

Another opportunity for community impact has developed in cooperation with St. Cloud State University and the Paramount Center for the Arts in St. Cloud. This longstanding vestige of culture in our community needs an improved ramp facility so as to improve accessibility and functionality of the facility. CMMA is partnering with the college to design the mobile structure and assist in the implementation of the needed improvement, a win-win for all!               

 Our current scheduled programs include our upcoming Golf Fundraiser in June, from which all proceeds are placed into the CMMA Community Foundation Fund and from there these precious resources are exclusively deployed to support STEM education in our area. We have our annual Legislative Committee Event and Summer Social in August, our groundbreaking Tour of Manufacturing in October and our CTE Jamboree in November. Mark your calendars now!
