Hello CMMA members and friends,

I hope this message finds you enjoying the colors and activities of Autumn in Minnesota!

Please let me please start with some “front office” gratitude from CMMA to all of you who continue to support and engage our organization amid these challenging and changing times. We sincerely appreciate your attendance at our virtual gatherings as we all adapt to deliver and receive information safely and responsibly and to cultivate our personal and professional relationships. 

Although our methods of interaction and business activity have evolved, just as at your place of business, be assured that CMMA continues not only to exist but to thrive and to accomplish significant outcomes that improve the organization.

As one of our primary priorities, workforce development initiatives continue to develop and progress. With significant support from our longtime friends and partners at the Initiative Foundation, CMMA is near to launching a new program called K-12 Navigator, a dynamic interactive initiative focused upon improving K-12 knowledge of and access to central Minnesota manufacturing companies and the opportunities within. This tool will help to bridge K-12 teachers, administrators, students and parents and will provide a connection to manufacturing education and career resources. Manufacturers - you will hear from us soon on how you can become involved and add your fuel to the fire and be warmed and rewarded by participating.  Our Youth Skills Training/Youth Apprenticeship Toolkit is available now at the CMMA website and ready for you to use to create your own youth focused workforce solutions!
